Welcome Kaylee M. Beals, DNP, FNP-BC

Effingham, IL – Cancer Care Specialists of Illinois (CCSI) is pleased to announce the addition of Kaylee M. Beals, Nurse Practitioner, to its practice in July 2024. She primarily sees patients at Crossroads Cancer Center in Effingham and also provides coverage as needed for CCSI satellite clinics. Beals has prior nurse practitioner experience in family planning counseling and care. She also has nursing experience in emergency medicine. She joins CCSI physicians in providing care to hematology/oncology patients in Effingham and surrounding areas.

Beals, from Neoga, IL, obtained her Associate Degree in Nursing from Lake Land College in Mattoon, IL in 2016. She then obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Lakeview College of Nursing in Charleston, IL in 2018. She went on to earn a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Southern Illinois University of Edwardsville in 2023.

As a Nurse Practitioner, Beals collaborates with the medical oncologist and conducts comprehensive patient assessments, assists with patient care plans, provides health exams, orders diagnostic tests (such as x-rays, CT/PET scans, and laboratory tests), and coordinates with other members of the patient’s health care team.

Beals is certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She is also a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and the Oncology Nursing Society (ONS).
