Welcome Julianne J. Tomac, DNP, FNP-C
O’Fallon, IL – Cancer Care Specialists of Illinois (CCSI) is pleased to announce the addition of Julianne J. Tomac, Nurse Practitioner, to its practice in September 2024. She primarily sees patients at the Cancer Care Center of O’Fallon and also provides coverage as needed for CCSI satellite clinics. Tomac has prior hematology/oncology nurse practitioner experience as well as clinical nursing experience in chemotherapy, biotherapy, and stem cell transplants. She joins CCSI O’Fallon physicians in providing care to hematology/oncology patients in O’Fallon and surrounding areas.
Tomac, from Shorewood, IL, obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Missouri-St. Louis in 2019. She went on to earn a Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Missouri-St. Louis in 2023.
As a Nurse Practitioner, Tomac collaborates with the medical oncologist and conducts comprehensive patient assessments, assists with patient care plans, provides health exams, orders diagnostic tests (such as x-rays, CT/PET scans, and laboratory tests), and coordinates with other members of the patient’s health care team.
Tomac is certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She is also a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and the Oncology Nursing Society (ONS).
