Cancer Care Specialists of Illinois Welcomes Bachir Farah, MD
(O’Fallon, IL) – Cancer Care Specialists of Illinois (CCSI) is pleased to announce the addition of Dr. Bachir Farah, medical oncologist/hematologist, to its practice in October 2022. Dr. Farah primarily sees patients at the Cancer Care Center of O’Fallon and Centralia Oncology Clinic. He will also provide coverage for CCSI clinics in Breese, Greenville, Highland and Sparta.

Dr. Farah received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the Lebanese University Faculty of Medical Sciences in Beirut, Lebanon in 2007. He went on to complete a Transitional Year Residency at Dahr El Bashek Governmental University Hospital in Lebanon. Dr. Farah completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Staten Island University Hospital in Staten Island, New York, where he received a first place award in Research. He subsequently completed a Fellowship in Hematology and Medical Oncology at Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Dr. Farah is board certified in Internal Medicine, Medical Oncology and Hematology. He is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), American Society of Hematology (ASH), American Medical Association (AMA), and the American College of Physicians (ACP).
Dr. Farah has special interests in treating leukemia, lymphoma and pancreatic cancer. He is published in the Leukemia & Lymphoma and Pancreatology journals and has given poster presentations at Louisiana Oncology Society/Mississippi Oncology Society (2013) and American Society of Hematology Annual Meeting (2017).
