Cancer Care Specialists of Illinois Expands Services to Salem IL

Salem, IL – Cancer Care Specialists of Illinois (CCSI) is pleased to announce the opening of its newest clinic in partnership with Salem Township Hospital.
Dr. Gibran H. Mahmud of Cancer Care Specialists of IL, is providing medical oncology services and has been appointed to the courtesy medical staff at Salem Township Hospital.

Dr. Mahmud, a native of Salem, received his Doctor of Medicine degree from Ross University School of Medicine, Portsmouth, Commonwealth of Dominica. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at MetroHealth Medical Center at Case Western University in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Mahmud went on to complete a fellowship in Hematology/Oncology at Saint Louis University.

Dr. Mahmud is board certified in Medical Oncology, Hematology and Internal Medicine. In addition, he holds membership in the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Society of Hematology, and Illinois State Medical Society.
